Numerical Analysis of Live Vehicular Load on the Buried X70 Gas Pipeline Using Cap-Plasticity Model (Modified Drucker–Prager Model)

Category:

Description

In the beginning of the analysis, gravity loads and instantaneous load in the from of forced vertical displacement is applied to the soil layer.

Currently, X70 pipeline is widely used in Oil and Gas industry for transportation of liquid fuel due to its increased resistant and corrosion resistant properties. Results shows that by imparting vertical displacement of 5 mm onto the soil layer, resulting force on the pipeline periphery is as high as 150,000N.
